Selling an Element Project
Product: a brochure, poster, or website
Procedure: Use a variety of resources to produce a poster, brochure or website,
with purpose of selling your element to the public.
Requirements:
- Use a variety of print and electronic resources to research your element
- Describe the properties of your element. You must include 2 chemical and 3 physical properties.
- Atomic mass and atomic number
- Illustrations of the element
- Describe 3 compounds formed with this element. Use proper symbols to show chemical formulas.
- Include 2 interesting facts about this element.
- Identify any environmental or health risks of this element (or a compound with the element in it).
Selling your element:
- Convince the reader of your poster, brochure, or website that this is the best one
- Formulate a scientific question about your element
- Use headings and illustrations
- Make statements clear and concise
- Neatness and organization are key to an effective poster, brochure or website
Late projects will be evaluated, but will not be part of the in class assessment.
The project can be digitally produces or made by hand.
You must have a bibliography. (must have at least 3 sources of which one must be print)
Include any rough work with your project.
